Photoinitiator 1173 (Chemical name: 2-Hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-1-propanone / 2-Hydroxy-2-methylpropiophenone, CAS: 7473-98-5) is a highly efficient Type I free-radical photoinitiator.
As an efficient liquid UV photoinitiator, 1173 undergoes rapid cleavage upon UV irradiation to generate free radicals, thereby initiating the polymerization and crosslinking of unsaturated resins and monomers.
